You’re not looking for therapy that drifts or meanders.

You want something that makes sense, has a clear purpose, and actually works.

That’s the exact kind of therapy I provide.

Many people who find their way to me are analytical, thoughtful, responsible, and used to excelling in academic or professional settings. They’ve always loved learning, and they want to understand why their mind behaves the way it does—not just talk around it.

So let’s start with this: you’re not “too much,” “too rigid,” or “overreacting.” You’re dealing with real patterns that have real explanations, and we can work with them systematically.

Why I Became a Therapist

Both of my parents were teachers, so learning has always been a core part of my identity. I gravitated toward a career where curiosity, skill-building, and ongoing education weren’t just allowed—they were essential.

For the first years of my career, I practiced more freeform, open-ended therapy. But things shifted when I trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. For the first time, I saw how powerful targeted, evidence-based treatment could be. Clients improved faster. Sessions had purpose. Progress was measurable.

That experience changed everything for me.

Since then, I’ve specialized deeply—sleep disorders, OCD, chronic pain, PTSD, and RO-DBT—because focused work is more effective than trying to do a little bit of everything. I like solving complex problems, and I like offering therapy that doesn’t drag on with minimal improvement.

If there’s a clear path forward, I want you to have it.

How I Work

My style is structured, direct, and grounded in science. Here’s what that means in practice:

  • Targeted treatments instead of open-ended talking

  • Clear rationales for everything we do—nothing is arbitrary

  • Tools, frameworks, and step-by-step methods

  • Efficient, meaningful progress when you show up and do the work

  • Deep specialization in the areas where evidence-based treatment matters most

Clients often tell me, “I’ve learned a lot” and “You’ve given me tools.”

That’s intentional. You should walk away understanding your symptoms and knowing how to manage them long after therapy ends.

A Little Bit About Me (the human side)

Because my clients tend to be thoughtful, intellectual, and structured, it often helps them to know a little about who I am outside the therapy room.

I’ve always loved learning, and I genuinely appreciate structure and clarity—so if that’s how your mind works too, we’ll get along well.

My husband and I love to travel, but we have very different approaches to it. I like a detailed agenda. He once asked me to “stop planning every square inch of our vacation and leave time to just be.” We compromise… somewhat. (I still think planning works better.)

I also bring pop culture into therapy when it fits. The Golden Girls, 90s alternative rock, and musical theater are three of my favorite things, and references come up more often than you might expect—sometimes they help explain a concept far better than jargon ever could.

If you’re looking for therapy that’s clear, structured, and effective, you’re in the right place.

I’d be glad to help you understand what’s happening, build a framework that works, and see real progress.
